RecBoot: Put Your iPhone in Recovery Mode With Single Click

RecBoot is a free utility for Windows and Mac users which allow you to put your iPhone / iPod Touch in recovery mode easily. Its a great utility for for those iPhone users who's iPhone Home or Sleep/Wake button is not fully functional. Moreover this utility saves you from learning the 3-4 steps of putting your iPhone into recovery mode manually. Normally you need to put your iPhone into recovery mode when your want to do a firmware restore.

RecBoot has very simple interface, only two buttons i-e "Enter Recovery Mode" which puts your iPhone to recovery mode and "Exit Recovery Mode" which takes your iPhone out of recovery mode option. The program requires LibUSB utility whos setup is included in the zip package.

How to Put iPhone or iPad to DFU mode :

To put the iPhone into DFU mode so you can do an iTunes firmware restore follow these steps:

Step One
Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac.

Step Two

NOTE***: It may take a few attempts to get your iPhone into DFU mode. Generally, I hold down both buttons then release the Home button just before I think the Apple logo would appear. If you are still holding both buttons down and you see the Apple logo you are holding them down for too long!

Downgrade iPhone OS 3.1.3 Baseband 5.12.01 to earlier basebands in order to Unloick :

There is good news for iPhone 3G users who accidentally updated to OS 3.1.3 and lost their blacksn0w/ultransn0w unlock. As we already know that OS 3.1.3 updates baseband to version 05.12.01 and  at this moment this version of baseband is locked. But iPhone 3G users can downgrade their baseband from 05.12.01 to 4.26.08 with the help of FuzzyBand, and you can use ultransn0w to achieve Network unlock.Unfortunately not all iPhone 3G users can downgrade their baseband, FuzzyBand will only downgrade baseband of those 3G’z which have the bootloader version 5.8. So just try your luck and see if it works or not. The bootloader version is firmware independent and is determined by by the manufacturing date of your iPhone 3G. Once downgraded, you can look for Blackra1n RC2 on Cydia and unlock the 3G.

FuzzyBand will not work with iPhone 3GS.

Note: This is only for iphone 3G users who running  iphone OS 3.1.3 , baseband 5.12.01 with 05.08 bootloader.
Step 2:  After jailbreak your iphone 3G, Now go to "Cydia" on your iphone and search for "Fuzzyband" and install this application.

Step 3:
Start "Fuzzyband" and touch on "Downgrade" button for downgrade your baseband 5.12.01 to 04.26.08.

One cool new feature of the 3.0 firmware is the ability to send more than one photo or screenshot (or any image that is on your iPhone or iPod Touch) at a time via email. The guide will show you how to quickly use Apple’s built in feature that allows you to email up to five image and how to email more then five images. This is a feature I LOVE and use all the time so, I thought I would make sure everyone knows how to use it! Below are step-by-step instructions. (thanks appleiphoneschool)

1. Open your stock Photos application.
2. Select your Camera Roll (thought this can be done with any images in your Photo Albums).
3. Select the mail icon in the lower left corner.
4. You will now see the options Share, Copy and Delete on a lower menu bar.
5. Tap on an image you would like to email. This will add a red check mark in the lower right corner of the image.
6. Tap on any additional images you would like to email.
Note: If you use the Share button, you can only choose 5 images however, if you would like to email more than five images, you can select Copy.
7. If you select the Share option, you can then select email and it will open an email with the images in the body of the email.

8. If you select the Copy option, you will then need to close your Pictures application (just tap the Home Button).
9. Open the Mail application and start a new email using the icon in the lower right corner.
10. Tap in the body of the message.
11. Select Paste.
12. All your images will then be pasted into the email.
13. Send email.

QuickTip - Silence and Send Calls to Voicemail using Power Button
When receiving an incoming call, you can quickly press the power button (that is the button on the top of your device) once to mute the ringing. Or, when receiving an incoming call, you can quickly press the power button twice and send the call straight to voicemail!
Just a quick, easy way to manage incoming phone calls. I guess Doug uses this option all the time. I personally tap the volume control button to mute an incoming calls. Who knew the iPhone was so multifaceted!
